Resident/Fellow/Young Urologist Grant to Attend the 2024 AUA Advocacy Summit

Applications are now being accepted! The deadline to apply is December 18, 2023.

The American Urological Association will host its 7th Annual Urology Advocacy Summit on February 26 - 28 in Washington, DC. This AUA-led event will continue to expand, strengthen and unify the voice of urology on policy matters impacting our practices and patients by bringing together a broad array of stakeholders, including patient advocates and researchers.

The conference will feature two days of in-person educational and trending policy sessions with an opportunity for attendees to earn continuing medical education credits. It will also include a day of Capital Hill meetings.

Up to four residents, fellows or Young Urologists (within 10 years of residency) will be selected to attend the Summit. Selected participants will receive up to $1,500 in reimbursement for travel-related expenses to the meeting.

To apply, submit the following information through the application form by December 18, 2023:

  1. A one-page Letter of Interest Statement (outlining interest in urology/healthcare policy and advocacy and how attending the Summit would support your interest and future aspirations.)
  2. Current CV
  3. Residents/Fellows ONLY: Brief Letter of Support from Program Director/Chair confirming that you will be able to attend the event.

Application

After the conference, each participant will be asked to submit a one-page summary of his/her experience at the Summit for the SESAUA website and newsletter.
